Tampaksiring, Bali

Reference: YHKN-T13788. A rare, soulful retreat set on 2,000 sqm of jungle land with roughly 48 years left on the lease. The house sits high above the land to catch the views and the breeze, while a private river runs through the grounds below. You reach it down a private road, through hand-carved wooden gates, and the world falls away. Almost every part is built from reclaimed and natural materials: a redesigned antique Javanese teak house with original carvings, an ironwood shingle roof and roughly 100-year-old ironwood floors. Three air-conditioned bedrooms, an Italian marble kitchen, natural stone and marble bathrooms, and a copper bathtub set over the trees. The antique and hand-designed furniture can be included, along with the plant-dyed linen textiles and batik pieces that give every room its character. Outside, a large terrace, a hammock, and grounds full of durian, coconut, banana and cacao. Ideal as a private home, a retreat, or an eco-luxury rental.
