EXCLUSIVE TO BEAUX VILLAGES! This property is something of a 'best-kept secret'. Accessed by metal gates set back from the road, the private drive leads to an unexpected, vast private estate. Mature trees and shrubs surround a grand villa with a veranda overlooking a pool. Inside, the house is spacious, solid and comfortably configured. Main doors lead from the veranda into an entrance area with stairs leading up to the first floor and another set down to the basement. From here, a large kitchen/diner is in one direction and a large salon with a fireplace and three sets of French doors to the veranda, is in the other. From the inner hall, a separate 'wing' comprises a cloakroom, a bathroom and two good-sized bedrooms. The first floor offers 3 further bedrooms, two of which have French doors leading onto a balcony overlooking the grounds. There is also a very large bathroom and a separate W.C. on this floor. A box room and loft space have further development possibliities (subject to necessary permissions). The lower floor provides a huge light space with garage doors, a utility/laundry area and ample space for a separate atelier. Conveniently situated at the edge of two villages, one of which has excellent amenities, with the glorious Lac du Montbel minutes away and less than an hour's drive to the vineyards and Carcassonne airport in one direction and the ski slopes in the other, this property would make a tranquil yet convenient permanent family home or a very special holiday retreat. --
